Ahh... do pork chops count?
I think I may make muffins tomorrow. (the just add water kind ;) lol)
I'd like to hear what the last thing YOU baked bct! You're the amazing cook here (wish you were actually here! lol)
I made cake and sauce for my fiance. Just a regular white cake with brown sugar sauce poured over it. He loves it, his mom makes it every Christmas.
I'm always baking. Last thing...there might be some left....a coconut cream pie.
i made chocolate chip cookies lol for the cast party that was the last time i baked and i plan to make mom's b-day cake next week
Awww! Thanks! I made carrot/raisin cookies for halloween... lost my recipe so sort of combined a few recipes from the net (Used grated carrots and added in rum extract etc). They turned out really well, soft and chewy.. have a few requests from people for the recipe (Told them to email to remind me). I did put them in the cookie jar I was taking to school with my retro outfit a little to early (still warm) and was too lazy to put wax paper between the layers, so towards the bottom they were stuck together and I just handed out handful of cookie :P
I use just add water mixes sometimes, and there are ways to fancy them up! I like to add in various extracts (Usually 1tsp vanilla and then 1/2 tsp of whatever fun extract you have hanging around, maple, or whatever).. and/or add in a shake or two of dry ginger, or pumpkin pie spice, or whatever baking type spice you have handy... Or soak raisins in something and add them in.. even just a little bit can go a long way with those mixes! Let us know how it turns out!
OoooOOOO Sounds yummy!!
M&M peanut butter cookies
Cheeeeeeessseeeeeeecake!!
Making banana bread and banana muffins tomorrow
The last thing I made was probably chocolate chip cookies but hubby is the king of the kitchen... he baked some macadamia nut cookies a couple days ago. We still have some because he made so much.
Potatoes
And a loaf of frozen bread. I over-cooked it, but it was still good. Better then the first one I made, which I forgot to defrost.... let's put it this way... I'm STILL tasting the yeast :(
Pepperoni pizza for dinner last night. Just a McCain one but it was so good!
Mmmm
A friends dad makes the BEST pizza in the world! I nearly asked him to show me how... but me cook like that? BA HAHAHAH!!! no...
Cinnamon buns on the weekend.
Tonight, I will make some Banana bread with the over ripe bananas that are on the counter.
That's one thing I do make regularly.. banana bread. I hate wasting the over ripe bananas and it's so easy to make!
I have one in the freezer right now.. banana strawberry bread is next on my breadmaker list (will have to be raspberries though, since that is what I have in the freezer).
Dumb question here ---> Is a bread maker worth the counter space/price? I've always wanted one but since I'm not much of a kitchen person I don't know if it'd be worth it. How often do you use it? Is making bread easy?
Had to ask... :)
Hubby has used his maybe 2x since we've been married. Buying bread is more convenient for us.
I use mine all the time I love the smell of freshly baked bread and they are soooooooooo easy to use.I love cooking and baking so am always looking for new things to add to my kitchen.
All my family and friends think Im weird when I get excited by getting something for my kitchen for xmas or my birthday lol
Last thing i "baked" were Pogo's earlier tonight.
Last thing I baked was spinach and cheese pie and some cornish pasties.
I *love* mine.. not only is the bread less expensive than in store, but you can insert so much variety (and you know what is in it!). I bought mine used at the value village (You can return for credit if it does not work, within a week)... And it is not limited to bread, if you keep a can of pineapple and some frozen pepperoni and shredded mozzerella in the freezer you have instant pizza for a *very* low price... foccacio as well and dough for buns.. I have saved so much money with mine. I have made over 90 different types of bread in mine (And could pass on the best recipes)... It is super handy, and the more you use it the faster you get at it.. I find it well worth it and actually recommend it to friends trying to save money!
Edit: Also really good for the days where you just can't seem to get out of the house (Illness, schedule or storm), and a loaf makes a great impromptu gift.
I got baked once !!! Does that count?
How did you fit in the oven? http://th124.photobucket.com/albums/...th_cooking.gif
